Bed Bugs are a troublesome insect to have and sensitive subject to the general public.
All pest control companies are not equal and this is especially true when we are talking about the bed bug issue. Many pest control companies, more than you think, are not qualified to handle this problem.
We at US Termite & Moisture Control, received our training for handling bed bugs at Bed Bug Central’s University Boot Camp in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, a bed bug hot spot! A week of intensive hands on classroom and field training, equipped us with the knowledge of bed bug biology, treatment strategies, and a low preparation program for the customer who is unfortunate enough to have bed bugs as an issue.
Low preparation makes it much easier and less traumatic for them in the process of controlling bed bugs.
The round white disk is a “Bed Bug Climb Up” / Interceptor used in the treatment process of Bed Bugs. Do not let this little white disk fool you-it is specially designed to intercept bed bugs coming and going from the infested room or rooms.
Dwellings can become infested with bed bugs in a variety of ways, such as:
Bugs and eggs inadvertently brought in from other infested dwellings by visiting pets, or a visiting person’s clothing or luggage. Or pets visiting an infested areas (apartment, subway, movie theater, or hotel) can carry the bugs to another area on their clothing, luggage, or body.
The problem is not a seasonal thing that will go away on its own, and left unchecked can cause severe health risks for both pets and humans.
Infested items (such as furniture, clothing or backpacks) brought in.
Nearby dwellings or infested items, if there are easy routes that the bugs may travel (through duct work or false ceilings).
Wild animals (such as bats or birds) that may also harbor bed bugs or related species such as the bat bug.
A combination of liquid product, dusting, steaming, vacuuming and encasement are essential in our treatment protocols. Complete record keeping is also needed along with customer feed back in staying on top of infestation. US Termite and Moisture Control is one of the very few in the Hampton Roads area to have received the appropriate training to serve you!
